iPhone 12 Pro

About

The Apple iPhone 12 Pro was announced on 13 October 2020 at an Apple Special Event alongside the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Max and was released on 23 October 2020. This fourteenth-generation iPhone is the successor to 2019’s iPhone 11 Pro and is notable for being a major redesign not seen since the release of the iPhone X back in 2017.

Apple’s latest iPhone 12 Pro features the exact same form and screen used in its flagship iPhone 12, a 6.1 inch display with a 60 Hz refresh rate, the same 5G capabilities, and the brand new MagSafe technology which allows users to easily snap wallets, chargers, and cases to the iPhone magnetically.

It differs, however, in that it is a marginal upgrade from the iPhone 12 in that its frame is made of a slightly heavier stainless steel with a matte glass finish, three cameras compared to two on the iPhone 12, LiDAR scanner functionality, and 6GB of RAM to the iPhone 12’s 4GB (not listed officially by Apple). Lastly, the Pro version is superior in terms of storage capability, starting out at 128GB.

The iPhone 12 Pro sits between the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Max in terms of performance, and although it has received criticism for not being as notable an upgrade from the iPhone 12 as the iPhone 11 Pro was to the iPhone 11, it’s nevertheless an excellent mobile phone for more intense daily use.

Repairs

Although the iPhone 12 Pro Max has all the functionality you’d expect from Apple’s most recent flagship phone, the iPhone 12 Pro still provides excellent features for all sorts of use from photography to video production to blazing fast web browsing and everything in between. Even the durability and drop resistance have been improved over previous models, but this doesn’t eliminate the risks of scratches, dents, and cracked screens common to all mobile phones.
